Back when I was in the army, I always worry if Singapore gets involved in a war. The pain, the misery, the anguish and of course the scars that those involved and myself have to bear during the course of the war. There is a high possibility that I will be sent to the frontlines due to my preferred age and health condition and death or injury will definitely occur to the men at the front.
This particular story moved me and unlike here in Singapore where most, or rather, all of the men have not been in a real firefight, the men overseas are battle hardened and have seen the worst of wars. Yet, they manage to move on regardless of the injuries they bear and the lack of compensation from the Ministry of Defence.
