recently attended their ags at shenton way.

not impressive compared to 4 yrs ago.

my friend wanted to recruit me but not knowing that i'm an ex agent 4 yrs ago. haha.

most of the experienced and senior leaders have left the company, leaving those junior (cannot make it) filling the voids.

with the likes of jas, bryan, jess etc etc leading the company, its only a matter of time that the company closed shop.

hey eman, same sentiments here. I actually have a group training lecture tmrw at 1pm. After thinking thru it, i think imma give VE a pass. I have bad networkings anyway. And Mr Wise, I got the same advertisement,looking for part-time assistant and they told me to meet at MDIS. But they did tell me it was some marketing executive. It was my foolishness to believe that MDIS wanted a part-time assistant who could also do marketing for them to recruit students. My gosh, i was shocked when i was there and was kinda a bit pressured. I feel like gg just to get free training tmrw but im scared i must just get sucked into it since i am quite a push-over.

Advise you on how to manage these "job offers" ey? Well, I personally believe in honesty and being forthright. If what you are presented with is deemed wrong in your opinion, voice it out and ask for an explanation. If their answers are not satisfactory, then you have given them a chance to convince you and in all fairness, you may leave.

After all, it is a free country. =) Nobody can force you to do something you feel is wrong.

Hi there nice posts in sharing yr own personal exp with others... while either side of supporting VE or nt has his own pt of justified view. Btw rite nw I am facing a prob on hw to reject the job offering parties. In fact I currently went to some jobs which involve MLM I tink n obv they would start off with introducing the sales of products as being effective or quite selleable to others etc...So nw I am seeking a way to indirectly turn down e offer though I express interest for being part of their team or smth (I went to Herbalife. Ventue Era etc). So do u mind helping me out by giving me tips on hw to do so? Cuz it would be strange if I jus tell them I m nt interestered in selling such products or saying this job does nt suit me... I would be most glad n v.appreciative of yr kind efforts in giving me some advice asap. Thx a lot!!!

I agree with you that starting a business when you're younger is better because you have less responsibilities such as handling the family finances, mortgage, children's studies. It makes sense to start early.

If your family members WANT to get a water system, of course you don't stop them. Instead, you recommend the best system out there because they ARE family. On the other hand, what most people are referring to is 'hard-selling'. He applies psychological pressure (by appealing to someone's fears, greed, or vanity) to persuade the person to make a quick purchase decision.

as a marketing manager in the company i do see alot of things on different points of view.. first our age is young but tats not the point.. as long as we have the maturity in us i dun think it should be a problem.. then if u dun start business at a young age then u wanna try it out at 40? when u have kids and wife? tat point of time ar u wont even dare to try anything lor... one month if salary is $2k u at 40 will die die do ur best not to get fired rather than venture into new stuff... one more thing.. i paint u a scenario lets say today u open a air con business.. well on the opening ceremony who will u invite? ur families and frenz correct? aint tat using ur family and frenz to spread the word tat u doing air con business ar nxt time need buy air con buy from me ar.. comparing VE and tis scenario its the same we wont force them to buy rather ask help to spread the word around and if by chance ur relative really looking for a water system then u stop them say CANNOT u my relative cannot BUY? funny isnt it?

Yeah bro I went through their I-Cal presentation, the taste test and the iodine mixing with water presentation. All in all, everything took about 2 hours plus minus. The dude who presented was like only 18 years old!

You and I have the same thoughts on this experience. I too feel that its kinda odd to take a bit out of the money that your family members (or friends that you referred) spent on the products and put it in your pocket. Its like, they're being used. Everything is for your own benefit in the end. There is of course, another perspective. This is after all, a concept sold as a business. Its a business transaction and they're the customers.

Venture Era is somewhat more pleasant in their tactics. I've experienced much more pushy companies such as the one starting with letter "A" and also letter "L". They'll pursue you like there's no tomorrow. Try searching the term "MLM SCAM" on youtube and you'll learn even more of their tactics and money making schemes.

haha dude.. u went for the tuesday's tour.. supposed to go monday but i got suspicious cause i asked the girl thru sms "should i send in a resume" (as per normal job apps) but she said its okay, if you want (?) its alrite also if you don't.. what ?? did they show u the science experiment for their i-cal water or something?

the thing i hate about direct selling is that you inadvertantly involve your family and close friends to "buy" your products and thus make some of them feel used or even alienate some members of your family/friends.. its the struggle between obligation to help and believe in the product..

but on the bright side.. i think venture era is a bit better than some of the other places i got tricked to go to.. like there was this one place where they wanted you to open an account of $1200 to join..and used pressure tactics..what the hell..
